Room 1 hosted our Senior assembly this week and chose to have an Olympics theme. There were three events during the assembly and people from Room 2 represented us in each one.
First was the human quoits which Josh P and Shanel competed in. They were on fire during the practice round but unfortunately didn't make it through to the medal round.
Next was the Cold Spaghetti Eating Contest. Mitchell and Lahsinee were our competitors in this event and both started well. Lahsinee set a cracking pace and took out the Silver medal!!
Last but not least was the Sock Wrestling. This was a hard fought competition with lots of tactics between competitors. It was down to the final three and after some sneaky teamwork it was down to Ripena from Room 2 and Sophie from Room 4. Neither was willing to give in without a fight but Ripena came away with the Gold medal!!
This week we have been working on a video message to send to the Olympic team as part of the Athlete's Foot Shout Out. We worked in groups to act out different Olympic sports and send our good wishes.
Unfortunately, the competition only let's us upload a 10-15s message so we've uploaded the message below with a link to our full video.
If we get in the top 10 we'll need your help to vote for our message and if we get the most votes we'll get a new pair of sports shoes for each person in our class!
